'Connecting supply and demand', expanding opportunities for businesses

(Baonghean.vn) - On the morning of October 8, in Da Nang, the 2016 Central Highlands - Central Region "Supply - Demand Connection" Conference opened. The activity aims to support businesses to boost production and business. Attending the conference were Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade Do Thang Hai, leaders of Da Nang City. Nghe An Province sent a working delegation including the Department of Industry and Trade and typical businesses.

More than 300 businesses participate in the Central Highlands - Central Region Supply - Demand Connection Conference in Da Nang

Nearly 500 enterprises from 23 provinces and cities nationwide participated in "Connecting Supply and Demand" in 2016 in Da Nang, including 230 booths from provinces and cities introduced at the conference.

The “supply-demand connection” activity is an initiative of the Ministry of Industry and Trade to enhance cooperation in information exchange, support business connection, regional cooperation... contributing to the effective implementation of the Project on developing the domestic market associated with the Campaign “Vietnamese people prioritize using Vietnamese goods” in the period of 2014-2020. In the immediate future, it will be held once a year in Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City and Da Nang.

Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade Do Thang Hai spoke at the conference, affirming efforts to connect and encourage businesses to develop production and business.

Representatives of 23 Departments of Industry and Trade in the Central Highlands region attended the conference.

At the conference, specialized departments of the Department of Industry and Trade and 11 enterprises in various fields of Nghe An actively introduced and promoted key products and commodities to enterprises in other localities.

Nghe An products this time prioritize typical items such as: fish sauce, incense, brocade, bamboo and rattan weaving, turmeric starch, milk, tea, rice and many other valuable agricultural products.

Nghe An enterprises introduce products to enterprises of other provinces and cities.

Many products of Nghe An enterprises and cooperatives were sold out right at the "supply - demand connection" conference.

During and after the conference, business connection activities in the fields of production and services continued to be promoted, aiming at sustainable development of Vietnamese brands.

At the conference, there were many activities signed between enterprises in cooperation in production and consumption of products. The goal is to encourage consumers to know and prioritize the use of Vietnamese goods, encourage production and consumption, and export, in which priority is given to enterprises and agricultural and rural products.
