Second test results of all F1 of Covid-19 patients in Nghe An

On the afternoon of May 11, the Provincial Center for Disease Control (CDC Nghe An) said that all F1 of"patient 3098"(including 100 cases), in Hoang Mai town, have tested negative for Covid-19 twice. These 100 people are currently being strictly quarantined at a hotel in Quynh Di ward, Hoang Mai town until 21 days have passed. Up to now, none of these people have shown any unusual symptoms such as fever, cough, or difficulty breathing.

From now until the end of the quarantine period, these F1 cases will continue to be sampled and tested many times to avoid missing cases in the community.

In addition, 2,359 F2 cases of this patient also had their first negative test results for Covid-19. As for "patient 3098", he is currently being isolated and treated at Quynh Luu General Hospital, his health is stable.

The positive patient is NPQ (47 years old, Quynh Lap commune, Hoang Mai town). According to epidemiological investigation, from April 14 to April 29, he took care of his wife at the Central Hospital for Tropical Diseases, branch 2 (Dong Anh - Hanoi). On April 29, the couple took a bus back to their hometown. In the early morning of May 6, he had a fever of 38.5 degrees; he was quarantined at Quynh Lap Medical Station and had samples taken for testing. The results of the two tests showed that he was positive for Covid-19.

According to epidemiological investigation, this patient's travel history is very complicated. Within 1 week after returning from the hospital, he had contact with many people.
On the night of discovering the positive case, Nghe An provincial leaders decided to socially distance the entire Hoang Mai town according to Directive 15; let all students stay home from school; lock down 5 villages in Quynh Lap commune and Quynh Lap Central Dermatology and Leprosy Hospital.
