Westerners excited to celebrate Vietnamese New Year early
More than 40 Polish guests learned about the ancestral altar, received calligraphy from the teacher and enjoyed traditional Vietnamese cuisine on Tet holiday.

On the evening of January 27 in Ho Chi Minh City, a group of 40 Polish tourists had a very interesting experience of Vietnamese Tet. They had dinner in a cool outdoor space and began a short journey to learn about the traditional Tet. Most of the tourists expressed excitement because this was the first time they learned how Vietnamese people celebrate Tet.

Decorations such as firecrackers of the old Tet were also recreated. Polish tourists were delighted to hear the interpretation of the bustling Tet atmosphere of the past when hearing the sound of firecrackers.

To help visitors visualize a traditional Tet holiday most clearly, the program also invited a calligrapher to write calligraphy. These letters were written neatly and skillfully and then given to visitors as souvenirs.

All the visitors then lined up to receive calligraphy gifts from the program. When they were given the words such as Wealth, Prosperity, Happiness, Longevity..., most of them were happy because they thought they were receiving good things from Vietnamese Tet.
