With more than 7 acres of land, streams, ponds and lakes left fallow for a long time, after much thought, Mr. Ngo Cong Tinh decided to reclaim the land to grow fruit trees.
Through many growing seasons with many changes in tree varieties, the income was not worth the effort. In 2014, through watching a TV program, Mr. Tinh learned about the Thai rough-skinned guava variety that was now being grown in several other localities with high economic efficiency. He quickly learned the technical process and bought the variety to plant on 2 sao of his family's land for testing.
At first, he encountered many difficulties, the guava trees were infested with pests and diseases, and the fruit set rate was low. He researched and learned from practical experience, and gradually the guava garden was full of flowers and fruits.

After more than 4 years of growing Thai guava, Mr. Tinh has applied quite professional science and technology. According to him, in order for the tree to grow and produce quality fruit, the height of the tree must be adjusted appropriately, not more than 2m to nourish the trunk, prune the branches and create a shape for the tree to grow in balance, increasing the ability to resist falling.
The advantage of this guava variety is that it can be harvested all year round, with many fruits, sweet, crunchy, and few seeds, and is popular with customers. Currently, the purchase price at the garden is from 25,000 - 30,000 VND/kg... From 2 experimental fields, he has now expanded the guava area to 7 fields, earning tens of millions of VND/year.
