The opening speech of the 2015 King Mai Temple Festival affirmed the continuing traditional cultural values ​​of the King Mai Temple Festival, held annually on the 15th day of the first lunar month in Nam Dan land to commemorate the merits of King Mai and his generals, and at the same time review the heroic spirit and indomitable spirit of the Hoan Chau uprising against the Tang Dynasty's domination to gain independence for the nation for 10 years, from 713 to 722.

The organization of the Mai King Temple Festival in 2015 aims to educate the nation's patriotic and revolutionary traditions, to arouse national pride and self-respect among all classes of people, especially the young generation, to create motivation to make great efforts and strive to successfully carry out assigned political tasks and responsibilities. Previously, within the framework of the festival, yesterday (March 3), there was a water procession to the King Mai Temple in Nam Dan Town; cultural and sports activities such as men's volleyball competition between clusters in the district, traditional wrestling competition, floating flower lanterns and mass art performances of communes and towns. Tomorrow (March 5), the last day of the festival, activities such as wrestling, chess, swinging, folk games... continue to take place, after which the Organizing Committee will conduct a Thanksgiving Ceremony at the locations of the King Mai Relic Site.

In particular, on the last night of this year's Mai King Festival, the reformed opera Mai Hac De will be performed, based on a literary script by Associate Professor Dr. Nguyen The Ky, staged by the Vietnam Reformed Opera Theater with the participation of 140 actors, serving local people and tourists.
