Free medical examination and medicine for 60 poor people in Chau Hoan commune (Quy Chau)

(Baonghean.vn) - On the morning of December 17, in Chau Hoan commune (Quy Chau), a working delegation from Golden City Company, Nghe An Newspaper and Vinh Transport Hospital examined and provided medicine to poor households and policy families in the area.

60 poor households and relatives of policy families in Chau Hoan commune were examined and given free medicine during this period. The total cost of the medical examination and treatment was 20 million VND, sponsored by Golden City Joint Stock Company.

Chau Hoan Commune is one of the inner communes of Quy Chau District, with difficult traffic conditions. The commune is located about 35 km south of the district center. The whole commune currently has 2,500 people of Thai ethnicity, living in 9 villages, with the current poverty rate accounting for 49%.

This is the 7th and final medical examination and treatment session in 2017 for disadvantaged and policy beneficiaries in the western districts of Nghe An within the framework of the social charity program jointly implemented by Nghe An Newspaper and Golden City.

Previously, the delegation visited and provided medicine to people in Ta Ca commune (Ky Son), veterans of Quang Tri ancient citadel in Que Phong, Mon Son commune (Con Cuong), Yen Na commune (Tuong Duong), Nghi Kim commune (Vinh city) and gave Mid-Autumn gifts to children in Van Chai hamlet, Hung Long commune, Hung Nguyen.
