(Baonghean.vn) - On June 6, at Ho Chi Minh Square in Ulyanovsk City, Russian Federation, leaders of Nghe An and Ulyanovsk provinces solemnly held the inauguration ceremony of the statue of President Ho Chi Minh.
Attending the inauguration ceremony were comrades: Nguyen Xuan Son - Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council, Le Ngoc Hoa - Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, Vo Viet Thanh - Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Secretary of the Vinh City Party Committee, along with leaders of Ulyanovsk province and the Association of Vietnamese Solidarity in Ulyanovsk province.. |

This is a project that shows the love and respect for President Ho Chi Minh of the Vietnamese Solidarity Association community in Ulyanovsk province, and at the same time contributes to strengthening the solidarity and friendship between Vietnam - the Russian Federation in general, Nghe An and Ulyanovsk in particular.

Before the inauguration ceremony, the provincial leaders had a working session with the Ulyanovsk leaders. At this meeting, the two sides signed a number of long-term cooperation memoranda.

The statue was erected in the city of Ulyanovsk, the birthplace of Lenin. This agreement was reached during the Soviet era when Ulyanovsk and Nghe An, the birthplace of President Ho Chi Minh, established sister-city relations.

The total cost of the project is more than 36 million rubles - a contribution from Nghe An province, Vietnamese enterprises in Russia and the Association of Vietnamese citizens in the Russian Federation. The monument is 5 meters high, the pedestal is 4 meters high. The bronze statue was cast by the famous Russian sculptor Oleg Klyuev.
