Survey of community tourism models in Western Nghe An
(Baonghean.vn) - The Department of Tourism coordinated with Nghe An Tourism Association to organize a famtrip delegation of local travel businesses to survey and evaluate a number of community tourism models associated with forest development and protection in Con Cuong and Tuong Duong districts.
During 2 days (March 12 and 13), the famtrip delegation surveyed and evaluated the models: Mulberry planting, silkworm raising, and zoning and preserving colored trees for brocade weaving in Xieng village, Mon Son commune (Con Cuong); modelhomestayserving community tourism; model of developing Sang Le forest eco-tourism associated with forest protection in Quang Phuc and Quang Thinh villages, Tam Dinh commune, Van Cua Rao temple tourist site (Tuong Duong)...

The activities of the Famtrip Group are one of the initial contents, awakening the potential to exploit the cultural values - community tourism, indigenous ecology along National Highway 7A, gradually serving tourists, creating sustainable livelihoods for the people. At the same time, building a safe destination for people and tourists when traveling within the province afterCovid-19 epidemicunder the slogan "Nghe An people travel in the province".
Within the framework of the program, the Famtrip delegation of Nghe An travel businesses participated in exchanges and learned about the cultural identities of the above ethnic groups through the Communication, Cultural Behavior, Cuisine and Service Competition.tourist2021. The contest attracted 3 participating teams, including: Quang Phuc Village, Quang Thinh Village (Tam Dinh Commune - Tuong Duong) and Xieng Village (Mon Son Commune - Con Cuong). At the end of the contest, the Organizing Committee awarded the first prize to the Quang Thinh Village Team, the second prize to Xieng Village and the third prize to Quang Phuc Village.

These activities aim to implement Decision No. 3896/QD-UBND dated October 1, 2019 of Nghe An Provincial People's Committee on receiving and approving the project "Developing Ecotourism for ethnic minorities".ethnic minority"Buffer zone of Pu Mat National Park, contributing to the conservation of biodiversity of the Western Nghe An Biosphere Reserve associated with the protection and sustainable development of forests" by the Global Environment Facility, Small Grants Program, United Nations Development Program (UNDP-GEF SGP).
After the survey, travel businesses will build tours, routes and promote to attract tourists after the Covid-19 pandemic.
