Rewarding 17 journalists with many contributions to the cause of National Unity

Comrade Vo Thi Minh Sinh - Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Chairwoman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Nghe An province chaired the discussion. Attending were comrade Kha Van Tam - Deputy Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda Department, leaders of the Department of Information and Communications, Nghe An Journalists Association, Party Committee of Provincial Agencies and a number of provincial departments and branches; representatives of leaders and reporters of press agencies.

At the seminar, representatives of leaders and reporters of press agencies all affirmed the determination to innovate and create from the provincial Fatherland Front to the grassroots level in recent times under the motto "Action Front" has contributed to better performing the functions and tasks of the Fatherland Front.

The activities of the Fatherland Front at all levels in the province have truly aroused solidarity and responsibility among all classes of people to compete to successfully implement socio-economic development goals and ensure national defense and security of the province.

Especially in the recent campaign to support the prevention and fight against Covid-19; although the economic life of Nghe An people still has many difficulties, through the call and appeal of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, organizations and individuals have actively contributed and Nghe An has become the locality with the 3rd highest total mobilization in the country.

In addition, leaders and reporters of some press agencies also proposed that the Vietnam Fatherland Front continue to promote its role in monitoring and social criticism, especially in relation to the rights and lives of the people.

The Fatherland Front must be an organization for people to place their trust in and protect the legitimate rights and interests of the people. When protecting the rights of the people, it will promote the great solidarity of the entire nation.

Speaking at the seminar, Comrade Vo Thi Minh Sinh - Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Nghe An province highly appreciated the role and contribution of press agencies in propagating the Party's guidelines and policies, the State's laws and policies to the people; propagating the great national unity bloc, the activities of the Front at all levels...

The Chairman of the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee also hopes that press agencies and journalists will continue to closely coordinate with the Vietnam Fatherland Front at all levels to perform better, stronger and more effectively the function of social supervision and criticism, actively participate in detecting negative cases, corruption and waste; multiply typical factors in the patriotic emulation movement; at the same time, reflect the legitimate and legal thoughts and aspirations of all classes of people to the Party Committees and authorities at all levels to consolidate and spread the spirit of great national unity for the common cause of developing Nghe An province.

On this occasion, the Standing Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Nghe An province honored and rewarded 17 journalists with outstanding achievements in propaganda "For the cause of Great National Unity".

The Standing Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Nghe An province also called on press agencies and journalists to continue participating in the 14th "For the cause of great national unity" Press Award, 2019 - 2020 and the 3rd National Press Award "Press with the work of fighting against corruption and waste" in 2020 - 2021.
