Construction of the parish church in Anh Son started
(Baonghean.vn) - The newly-constructed church has a total area of 518 m² and will be a spacious and airy religious building, meeting the needs and wishes of the majority of parishioners in Phuc Son parish, Lang Dien parish, Anh Son district.
On May 27, 2019, Auxiliary Bishop of Vinh Diocese Peter Nguyen Van Vien celebrated a thanksgiving mass and presided over the ceremony of laying the foundation stone for the construction of Phuc Son parish church.Concelebrating the mass were the parish priest of Bot Da, the parish priest of the neighboring parish, and many parishioners.
Attending the ceremony of laying the foundation stone for the construction of Phuc Son parish church were the Chairman of Anh Son District People's Committee, representatives of a number of departments, branches, and the Fatherland Front of Anh Son District.

The Phuc Son parish church, formerly located in village 4, Hoa Son commune (Anh Son), has been seriously degraded for a long time. The parishioners here always hope to have a new, spacious church.
On March 27, 2018, the People's Committee of Nghe An province issued Decision No. 1073-QD-UBND on granting land to build a new church for Phuc Son parish at a location 300 m from the old church, with a total area of 3,029 m2, of which the construction area is 2,872.87 m2.
The new church has a total area of 518 m², built on a newly granted plot of land, and will be a spacious and airy religious building, meeting the needs and aspirations of the majority of parishioners here.
