Prosecution of the chairman of the commune farmers' association for robbing the property of the vice chairman of the People's Council

Today (February 25), the Investigation Police Agency of Chon Thanh Town, Binh Phuoc Province announced that it has just initiated a case, prosecuted the accused, and temporarily detained Do Tuan Anh (born in 1978, residing in Loc Ninh District, Binh Phuoc Province) for 4 months to investigate the crime of "Robbery".

Do Tuan Anh is the subject who brought a gun to break into Mr. NTH's house (residing in Thanh Tam ward, Chon Thanh town), controlled the maid, and committed robbery on the evening of February 12.

At the time of the crime, Do Tuan Anh was the Chairman of the Farmers' Association of Loc Thai Commune, Loc Ninh District. Previously, he was the Chief of Police of Loc Thai Commune.

According to the initial investigation, due to borrowing money from many people but not being able to repay the debt, Tuan Anh planned to rob property. To carry out the act, the subject prepared a weapon and then surveyed Mr. H's house.

At around 2:00 p.m. on February 12, Tuan Anh drove a 4-seater car carrying weapons to Hung Chien ward, Binh Long town and left the car in an empty lot. Then, he walked to a nearby cemetery, took out a hidden motorbike, removed the license plate, and drove to Mr. H's house in Chon Thanh town.

At around 4:30 p.m. the same day, this subject broke into Mr. H's house through the bathroom area on the first floor, hiding inside for many hours waiting for a favorable opportunity to commit the crime.

At around 7:00 p.m. the same day, the woman who helped Mr. H.'s family went into the bathroom and was restrained, handcuffed, gagged, tied to a water valve, and then interrogated about how many people were in the house and the room where Mr. H. and his wife lived.

At this time, Mr. H. discovered the incident and called the police to report it. Immediately after that, Chon Thanh town police mobilized forces to surround the house and arrest the subject.

When Do Tuan Anh discovered the police, he used a gun and a knife to control the maid to threaten the arresting force, then sneaked through the side of the house to get a motorbike and escape. However, after running a short distance, he was controlled and arrested by the police.

Confiscated evidence included a revolver (Rolo style), 7 bullets (5 bullets mounted in the gun and 2 bullets in the basket), 1 pepper spray, 3 number 8 locks, 1 electric gun, 1 knife, 1 piece of parachute cord and 1 roll of tape.

Notably, during the process of working with the police, Tuan Anh admitted that in 2019, he broke into the house of Ms. TTAT (born in 1967, former Secretary of Loc Ninh District Party Committee, former Director of the Department of Home Affairs of Binh Phuoc Province) in Dong Xoai City, used a weapon to control Ms. T, and robbed 30 million VND.
