Prosecuted group of subjects selling 'fake' iPhones, embezzling nearly 8 billion VND
By buying and selling cheap phones, from February 2023 to now, the group of subjects has defrauded and appropriated about 8 billion VND from many victims nationwide.

The prosecuted subjects include: Tran Van Hung (born in 1993), Ha Thi Nghien (born in 2004, Hung's wife), Pham Van Quang (born in 1993), Vu Van Quang (born in 1996), Tran Van Lam (born in 2006), Nguyen Van Thiep (born in 1993) and Vu Xuan Tu (born in 1994), all with permanent residence in Hai Duong province.

After the customer agrees to close the order, the subjects will send the customer orders with the outside being a new iPhone box but inside containing an old, broken phone and require the shipping unit not to let the customer check the goods first but to pay in advance before receiving the goods.
When the customer has transferred money to the shipping unit, the order is found to be incorrect as agreed but cannot complain to get the money back due to the shipping unit's policy.
Using the above methods and tricks, from around February 2023 to present, it is estimated that the group of subjects has defrauded and appropriated nearly 8 billion VND from many victims nationwide.
During an urgent search of the subjects' residences, the authorities seized 5 laptops, 10 personal mobile phones used by the subjects, a single printer, a hot air gun; 139 iPhone phone cases of various types and 262 iPhone phone cases of various types (containing broken phones inside to prepare for shipping), 24 bank cards of various types, 10 bank accounts used for fraudulent property appropriation activities, and other exhibits related to the group's fraudulent property appropriation activities...
