(Baonghean.vn) - Information from Dien Chau Traffic Police Station, under the Traffic Police Department, Provincial Police, said that the unit has drawn up a record to fine a truck driver for not giving way to a priority vehicle.

According to information, at 11:20 a.m. on October 8, driver Nguyen Khac H., residing in Boi Son commune, Do Luong district, was driving a truck (with crane) brand THACO, with license plate 61C-187.01, traveling on National Highway 1A, through km 402+400, in Quynh Luu district.

At the same time, a Ministry of Public Security vehicle was on duty in Nghe An. Despite signaling several times, driver Nguyen Khac H. still did not yield the right of way.

Upon receiving the news, the working group of Dien Chau Traffic Police Station had to chase and ask the truck driver to stop the vehicle. According to officers of Dien Chau Traffic Police Station, during the handling process, the driver repeatedly called his relatives for help but was unsuccessful. After that, the driver admitted his mistake.

Pursuant to Point b, Clause 6, Article 5, Decree 100, amended by Point c, Clause 3, Article 2, Decree 123, drivers of automobiles and similar vehicles who do not yield or obstruct priority vehicles that are signaling priority on duty shall be fined from VND 6,000,000 to VND 8,000,000. At the same time, their driving license shall be revoked for 2-4 months.
