Ride a motorbike uphill

When you are driving up a hill that is not too steep, you can accelerate moderately, gaining momentum to overcome the hill. However, for steep hills with steep slopes, you must definitely shift down to a lower gear according to the speed you think can get you to the top of the hill. Try to avoid shifting gears mid-hill. If the initial speed drops mid-hill, shift down before the bike shows any signs of stalling.

You should judge to shift to the appropriate gear. A few times of experience going uphill will guide you to do this well. When you are near the top of the hill, reduce the throttle, keep the same gear and let it drift over the top of the hill. Proactively shift gear quickly when meeting other vehicles going in the opposite direction at the time you are near the top of the hill, because that way, you will not lose momentum, leading to stalling.

Motorcycle ride downhill

For moderate slopes, release the throttle, using the reduced engine compression to slow down. The front and rear brakes are only used as assistance when absolutely necessary.

For steep slopes, shift into the lowest gear when starting downhill. This will make the engine braking more effective.

If the slope is the same both up and down, or if you drive down the same slope as you drove up, use the same gear you used going up.

It's best not to shift gears on a hill. However, if absolutely necessary, downshift before your car accelerates too quickly.
