Here, Bay was promptly assisted by the medical team of the Infirmary led by Dr. Nguyen Cong Minh in performing respiratory support, suctioning fluid to clear the airway; performing gastric lavage to eliminate toxins, intravenous fluids and active detoxification treatment.

After receiving timely first aid, the child was transferred to Tuong Duong District Medical Center for re-examination. Currently, the child's health has completely recovered.

Doctor Nguyen Cong Minh, the commander of the emergency team that promptly provided emergency aid to Bay, said: Poisoning from poison ivy needs to be detected early to conduct first aid, emergency treatment and timely treatment. Emergency treatment requires urgency and positivity, in which the important thing is to control breathing well, stop convulsions and treat arrhythmia because the patient can easily die after 1-7 hours of poisoning.

Aconite is a poisonous plant that grows naturally in the communes of the mountainous district of Ky Son. Aconite is highly toxic, poisoning occurs quickly, is severe and can easily lead to death. For adults, it is easy to distinguish aconite from other plants, but for children, it is easy to confuse aconite with sour-leaf plants, which is very dangerous. Local authorities, families and schools need to educate students to distinguish poisonous plants, to prevent unfortunate accidents./.
