On the afternoon of June 24, the Standing Committee of the Provincial People's Council held a meeting to discuss preparations for the 9th Session of the Provincial People's Council for the 2016-2021 term, scheduled to take place from July 10-12.
At this session, the Provincial People's Council will review 28 reports and consider and approve 24 draft resolutions under its authority. Up to now, based on the reports and draft resolutions drafted by the departments and branches; the Standing Committee and the Provincial People's Council Committees have been conducting the review and are expected to complete by June 26.
The activities of contacting voters before the session of the Provincial People's Council delegates have been completed and currently the Standing Committee of the Provincial People's Council is directing the Provincial People's Council Office to synthesize and classify groups of recommendations, proposals and reflections from voters.

At the meeting, based on the proposed opinions of the Groups, the Provincial People's Council delegates and a number of agencies, the Provincial People's Council Office submitted to the Provincial People's Council Standing Committee 3 proposed questions.
Including handling the problem of “suspended” planning and “suspended” projects in the province; inadequacies in land management, especially management of urban land, land of investment projects, illegal conversion of land purposes; limitations in the protection, care and education of children, especially child marriage in children under 16 years old, drowning, children violating the law, child abuse, child trafficking, etc.
Based on the opinions of the delegates, concluding the meeting, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council Nguyen Xuan Son said that the selection of the group of questions must be issues that voters have many opinions and public opinion, and that all levels and sectors must have solutions to thoroughly resolve. On the other hand, it must cover the responsibilities of all levels and sectors to ensure the requirements of innovation in questioning at this session, not just one sector "taking the stage" to answer questions but many sectors and many levels answering.
In that spirit, the Chairman of the Provincial People's Council agreed to propose 2 contents to the Provincial People's Council for questioning at the meeting. These are limitations in the work of protecting, caring for, and educating children, especially the situation of child marriage in children under 16 years old, children drowning, children violating the law, child abuse, child trafficking...; violations in land management, emerging in the management of urban land, management of investment projects, illegal conversion of land purposes...

Also this afternoon, the Standing Committee of the Provincial People's Council listened to and commented on the report on the results of monitoring the state budget collection in the province in the period of 2016 - 2018; the report on the 5-year review of the implementation of the 2013 Constitution.
The Standing Committee also agreed on a number of tasks for July 2019, focusing on successfully organizing the 9th Session of the Provincial People's Council, term XVII, 2016 - 2020.
