(Baonghean.vn) - On the morning of October 12, Tuong Duong Secondary School for Ethnic Minorities celebrated its 10th anniversary.

Attending the ceremony were comrade Luong Thanh Hai - Member of the Provincial Party Executive Committee, Head of the Provincial Ethnic Minorities Committee; leaders of the Department of Education and Training of Nghe An; representatives of the Party Committee, People's Council, People's Committee of Tuong Duong district; representatives of ethnic minority boarding schools in Nghe An province and many former teachers and students of the school.

Tuong Duong Ethnic Minority Boarding Secondary School was established in 2009. In 2015, Tuong Duong Ethnic Minority Boarding Secondary School was recognized by the Chairman of Nghe An Provincial People's Committee as a national standard secondary school; in 2016, it was recognized by Nghe An Department of Education and Training as meeting level 3 education quality standards.

Currently, the school has 36 staff members, teachers and employees. Of these, there are 2 managers and 1 teacher with a master's degree, 29 staff members, teachers and employees with university degrees, 2 staff members with college degrees and 2 staff members with intermediate degrees.

The school’s students are mostly ethnic minority children living in all communes and villages in Tuong Duong district. The number of students who have studied at the school since its establishment is 796, of which 561 have graduated from junior high school.
