Ky Son overcomes the problem of Muong Xen-Nam Can town road

(Baonghean.vn) - During the flood caused by storm No. 3, the road from Muong Xen town (Ky Son) to Nam Can had 14 points of landslides on the banks of the Nam Mo river and landslides causing traffic jams. The district mobilized machinery and workers to clear the route.

Road leveling through Ta Ca commune

Mr. Nguyen Thanh Hoang, Chairman of the People's Committee of Ky Son district, said: The key route from Muong Xen town to Ta Ca, Muong Tip, Muong Ai to Na Ngoi, Nam Can has more than 100m of riverbank erosion in Nhan Cu and Binh Son villages, Ta Ca commune, Xop Tip and Muong Tip villages...

Immediately after the storm, from July 22 until now, the District People's Committee has mobilized human resources from Ta Ca, Muong Tip, Muong Ai villages to Na Ngoi, Nam Can, and coordinated with Muong Tip border guard station to restore the route.

In the section passing through Xop Tip commune, Muong Tip, people can now ride motorbikes, but the road is still muddy.

For difficult and dangerous road sections, the district mobilized 2 more excavators to support people in leveling. Up to now, 14 landslides have been leveled, with a volume of about 800 m3.³mud, this route was completely cleared by noon on August 24.

According to Mr. Nguyen Thanh Hoang, Chairman of the People's Committee of Ky Son district, the district is continuing to direct construction units and people to overcome landslides at locations in Tay Son and Huoi Tu communes. Review households in areas at particular risk of flash floods and landslides to have a plan to temporarily evacuate to a safe place when necessary.
