Nghia confessed that his network began operating in 2015, and his production workshop was located right at his house in Group 6, Van La, Phu La Ward, Ha Dong District, Hanoi. In addition to directly producing and selling fake documents and seals, Nghia also directed his juniors to post information on social networking sites to find "sources" of customers.
These subjects will take brokerage fees, make and sell fake documents for illegal profits. Each of these "henchmen" will set up about 20 Facebook and Zalo accounts to post advertisements to attract customers.
From 2015 until his arrest, Nghia had successfully produced and sold nearly 2,000 sets of fake documents, diplomas, certificates and papers of all kinds, along with stamps and seals of many state agencies, police units, military units, universities, and domestic and foreign companies.
Each set of fake documents or fake stamps was sold by Nghia for between 500,000 VND and 25 million VND. Nghia admitted to trading and selling to between 500 and 700 people in many provinces and cities nationwide. It is estimated that this subject illegally earned 500 million VND.
Notably, in this case, the police also determined that Hoang Lam had forged an ID card and "red book" to provide to his sister Hoang Thi Thu Phuong (45 years old) and her husband Tran Anh Dung (46), residing in Trung Vuong ward, Thai Nguyen city, Thai Nguyen province, to commit fraud and appropriate property. On March 22, 2017, the Thai Nguyen Provincial Police Department issued a special nationwide wanted notice for these two subjects. On April 21, the Bac Tu Liem District Police arrested the couple while they were hiding in Hanoi. Currently, the Investigation Police Agency of Bac Tu Liem District Police is also coordinating with the Investigation Police Agency of Thai Nguyen Province Police to continue to investigate and expand this related case. |
