Comrade Dang Van Viet - Secretary of Khanh Son Commune Party Committee shared: In the process of building new rural areas and advanced new rural areas, Party committees, authorities and organizations have increased the mobilization of resources, proposed policies, plans and solutions for implementation.

Thanks to the synchronous, drastic and effective participation, Khanh Son commune has seen many typical factors contributing, donating land, property, money, and building the homeland. Outstanding among them is party member Vuong Dao Vinh, in hamlet 10. With concern and responsibility for the community and the local movement, Mr. Vinh has connected and mobilized his family members living far from home to contribute 916 million VND to support the construction of roads, lighting systems, welcome gates, etc.

As a retired military officer, with the qualities of "Uncle Ho's Soldier" and the sense of responsibility of a party member, during his activities, Mr. Vinh always thinks of contributing many practical contents so that the party cell can focus on leading and directing successful implementation, especially building a healthy living environment.

Mr. Vinh also proposed and actively participated in researching and arranging garbage collection points far from households; propagating and mobilizing people to raise awareness of disposing of garbage in the right place, overcoming the situation of littering on the roads; mobilizing households to build their own manholes and wastewater before discharging into the common environment... During the process of opening the traffic road, he participated in propagating, mobilizing, and persuading households to donate land. In difficult cases, Mr. Vinh proactively changed the location of the field to donate more than 300 m2 to the village to open the road.

Implementing Conclusion No. 01, dated May 18, 2021 of the Politburo (13th tenure) on continuing to implement Directive No. 05 of the Politburo (12th tenure) on "promoting studying and following Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality and lifestyle"; in May 2021, Nam Dan District Party Committee launched the emulation campaign "Following Uncle Ho's words" with emulation contents focusing on studying and implementing the criteria for building advanced new rural areas, model new rural areas, and civilized urban areas.

Comrade Tran Thi Hien - Standing Deputy Secretary of Nam Dan District Party Committee said: Party committees and authorities focus on promoting the spirit of self-reliance, self-strengthening, and the will to rise up in each collective and individual; first of all, promoting the exemplary role of cadres and party members, especially leaders who dare to think, dare to do, dare to take responsibility for the common movement. Accordingly, the entire political system from district to grassroots level, based on functions and tasks, will well implement each content, part of work, and specific targets, towards the goal of becoming a model new rural district.

In Nam Dan district, many families have voluntarily contributed hundreds of millions of dong to build new, advanced, model rural areas and civilized urban areas. Some typical examples include: Veteran Nguyen Duc Loan, in Dong Tho hamlet (Trung Phuc Cuong commune) - Head of the Veterans Association of the hamlet directly propagandized and mobilized members to build and take care of the road section that meets the criteria of "Bright - green - clean - beautiful". His family also contributed 56 million dong to build 19 solar-powered lampposts and build a 100m long road.

Party member Duong Van Hanh, in Ba Dinh hamlet (Hong Long commune) is always interested in grasping the thoughts of party members and people, promptly reflecting and advising the Party cell to do a good job of ideological work, mobilizing the masses in carrying out local political tasks. Mr. Duong Van Hanh is also the person who directly propagandizes, mobilizes, and persuades 19 households when there are many inconsistent opinions to agree to donate land, contribute money, contribute efforts to widen and build concrete roads with drainage ditches on both sides with covers to ensure environmental sanitation...

Many collectives in the area also have good and creative models and ways of "following Uncle Ho" in a practical way. The Nam Anh Commune Youth Union organizes the activities "Volunteer Saturday", "Green Sunday", contributing to building a "Green, clean, beautiful" rural landscape and supporting people in installing the VNeID application; organizes the activities "Youth booth", "Car wash to raise funds", "Warm winter - loving spring", creating resources to support families and children in difficult circumstances...

The Women's Union of Nam Thai commune directed the implementation of the model "5 no, 3 clean"; "Savings tube", "Turning waste into useful things"; supporting livelihoods for poor women", accepting to be "Godmother"...

Over the past 3 years, Nam Dan district has had more than 100 models in various fields, especially models of advanced new rural construction and model new rural areas. By the end of 2023, Nam Dan district has 15 communes recognized as meeting advanced new rural standards; of which 7 are model new rural communes.

Nam Dan district has completed 35/42 criteria for a model new rural district according to Decision No. 17 of the Prime Minister approving the pilot project "Building Nam Dan district, Nghe An province to become a model new rural district in the direction of cultural development associated with tourism, period 2018 - 2025".

Improving public ethics

The emulation movement "Following Uncle Ho's teachings" launched by Nam Dan District Party Committee is associated with implementing discipline and administrative discipline; improving public ethics of cadres, civil servants, public employees and workers in the political system from district to grassroots level.

The district has developed a framework of criteria for evaluating and classifying cadres and civil servants according to each job position and each task has a scale of evaluation, with a corresponding score for each level of work completion. Along with that, the district has strengthened management, inspection, and supervision of the implementation of public duties, discipline, and administrative discipline of cadres and civil servants on the basis of assigning and decentralizing "clear people, clear tasks".

Through regular inspections, substantive and highly quantitative assessments and strict handling of violations, the sense of responsibility for work among cadres and civil servants is raised to complete tasks.

Local people have acknowledged the attitude and working spirit of officials and civil servants, especially at the grassroots level. Officials at all levels have raised their sense of responsibility, "doing all the work, not just working all the hours". District-level specialized departments regularly research and propose to reduce and shorten the time to handle administrative procedures in a number of areas for people and businesses.

Comrade Hoang Nghia Hung - Head of the Department of Internal Affairs of Nam Dan district discussed: The sense of responsibility among cadres and civil servants, especially the heads of Party committees, authorities and advisory and support agencies at all levels, has really been struggling to find solutions to remove difficulties, obstacles and pressing issues arising from practice to organize dialogues with the people, create consensus in site clearance, grant land use right certificates to people, resolve petitions, mobilize resources for new rural construction...

On the basis of implementing Conclusion No. 01 of the Politburo with clearly identifying the tasks of focusing on "Following Uncle Ho's words"; Party committees, authorities, and political organizations at all levels in Nam Dan district are continuing to promote the spirit of self-reliance, self-improvement, and the aspiration to rise up and build Uncle Ho's homeland to be truly rich and beautiful as President Ho Chi Minh always wished during his lifetime.
