For the first time, Nghe An won 13 first prizes at the National Excellent Student Competition.

This afternoon (January 15), the Ministry of Education and Training has just announced the results of the National Excellent Student Competition for the 2019-2020 school year. Accordingly, Nghe An student delegation had 82/102 contestants participating in the competition winning prizes with 13 first prizes, 31 second prizes, 25 third prizes and 13 consolation prizes.

Specifically, among these, Math was the subject with the best results with 4 first prizes and 6 second prizes. The first prizes belonged to Tran Anh Quoc, Le Nam Khanh, Phan Nhat Hoang and Duong Quynh Chau. These are all students of class 12A1.

In English, this year also achieved very good results when 8/10 students won prizes with 2 first prizes belonging to Nguyen Thi Phuong Hoa and Nguyen Van Ha An, class 12C5. After 10 years, Nghe An has had a first prize in English again.

In Physics, there were 3 students who won first prize: Mai Quang Tuan, Phan Huy An and Nguyen Quang Long, students of class 12A3.

Chemistry, First prize belongs to Pham Trung Quoc Anh, class 12A4.

In Biology, two students won first prize: Bui Van Lam and Nguyen Trung Hoang, students of class 11A5.

In Geography, one student won first prize, Le Minh Trinh, a student of class 12C3.

With this result, according to initial statistics, Nghe An is in the top 3 nationwide and will have 24 students continue to enter round 2 to select the National Team to participate in international excellent student competitions.

Besides, Vinh University High School for the Gifted also had a successful season with 20 awards at the National Excellent Student Competition with 5 Second prizes, 8 Third prizes and 7 Encouragement prizes.

History: 6 Second prizes, 4 Third prizes.

Geography: 1 First prize, 1 Second prize, 4 Third prizes, 3 Consolation prizes.

English: 2 First prizes, 3 Second prizes, 2 Third prizes, 1 Encouragement prize.

French: 1 Third Prize.

Russian: 1 Encouragement prize.
