Third time in prison for gambling with 3 women

Tan Ky District People's Court has just tried a criminal case against Tran Van Tuan (born in 1983), residing in Truong Tho hamlet, Nghia Dung commune (Tan Ky) aboutcrime of "Gambling"".
At around 1:00 p.m. on January 7, Tran Van Tuan and three other people in Tan Ky district, Pham Thi Huyen (born in 1977), residing in Truong Tho hamlet, and Pham Thi Hoa (born in 1970), residing in Tan Van hamlet, Nghia Dung commune, had lunch together at the house of Hoang Thi Huong (born in 1964), residing in Truong Tho hamlet.

After finishing dinner, because she had the idea of gambling, Pham Thi Hoa took a deck of cards that was placed on the bed and invited Tran Van Tuan, Pham Thi Huyen, and Hoang Thi Huong to sit down on a plastic mat that was spread out in the convex room next to the living room of Hoang Thi Huong's house to gamble.

The subjects agreed to gamble using "phom". At 3 p.m. the same day, while the subjects were gambling with each other, a working group of Nghia Dung Commune Police, Tan Ky District, raided and caught them red-handed, seizing 4,450,000 VND from the gambling table.
Previously, Tran Van Tuan was sentenced twice by the Court for "Theft of property" and on June 12, 2019, Tuan was sentenced by the People's Court of Tan Ky district, Nghe An province to 12 months of non-custodial reform for the crime of "Gambling".
In this case, the subjects Pham Thi Hoa and Hoang Thi Huong have no criminal record for gambling orgambling organization, gambling. Pham Thi Huyen was fined 20 million VND by the People's Court of Tan Ky district for the crime of "Gambling". The amount of money that the subjects used for gambling purposes was not enough to be prosecuted for criminal liability, so the Investigation Police Agency of Tan Ky district issued a Decision to impose administrative penalties on Pham Thi Huyen, Pham Thi Hoa and Hoang Thi Huong.
At the end of the trial, the panel sentenced Tran Van Tuan to 30 months of non-custodial reform, exempted from additional penalties, and had his income deducted by VND 150,000/month until he completed his sentence.
