At the age of 30, Ms. Vi Thi Hien is the head of the Women's Union of Khe Trang Thuong village, Tho Son commune and was admitted to the Party in 2015. After joining the Party, she has always been at the forefront of economic development. Currently, her family raises 4 breeding buffaloes and cows, free-range chickens and grows 5 sao of raw sugarcane. The annual income is approximately 100 million VND.

Besides, she also guides people on new technical advances in farming and animal husbandry, encourages families in the village to abandon backward customs, participate in donating land, and contribute working days to build new rural areas.

Khe Trang Thuong village is a particularly difficult village of Tho Son commune, with 97 households of Thai ethnic group living there, and the village party cell has 6 party members. Currently, the village has 2 effective economic development models, 70 households participate in growing raw sugarcane with an area of ​​40 hectares.

Changing the way of thinking and doing has helped the lives of many ethnic minority households in the village gradually improve, and people's trust in the Party's leadership has been enhanced.

Comrade La Van Hoat - Secretary of Tho Son Commune Party Committee said, Currently, the commune has 153 party members operating in 15 party cells, of which ethnic minority party members account for nearly 10%. With the characteristics of a mountainous commune, there are many ethnic minorities living.

To create a source for developing ethnic minority party members, Tho Son Commune Party Committee has assigned experienced and prestigious party members to help the elite masses in the process of striving and training; promptly grasping the thoughts and aspirations of the masses.

The commune Party Committee directed the unions, especially the youth union, to actively coordinate to organize training courses on animal husbandry, cultivation, and agricultural machinery repair; and to provide credit for union members to borrow capital for economic development. Up to now, Tho Son commune has created conditions for over 71 youth union members to receive loans with a total amount of over 1.9 billion VND. This is also a practical way to solve local employment problems and attract members to participate in local union organizations.

Anh Son is a mountainous district of Nghe An province, with more than 1,800 households and 8,200 people of Thai ethnic group, living in 8 communes and 23 hamlets, accounting for nearly 8% of the district's population. Over the years, the Standing Committee of Anh Son District Party Committee has always considered the work of developing party members, especially developing ethnic minority party members, as one of the important political tasks.

To date, 100% of villages and hamlets in Anh Son have Party cells. Many ethnic minority Party members have held key positions in the Party Committee, government, mass organizations of the commune, Party cell secretaries, village and hamlet heads, and heads of mass organizations of the village and hamlet.

In particular, the economic development models of party members with incomes of over 100 million VND/year have actively contributed to promoting the socio-economic development movement in localities.

Experience from the reality in remote communes in Anh Son shows that promoting the exemplary role of ethnic minority party members contributes greatly to bringing the Party's guidelines and the State's policies and laws to the people.
