"There is still enough to eat so we have to share the burden with the State"
In Na village, Huu Lap commune, Ky Son highland border district, Mr. Luong Van Danh's family is not yet well-off, fortunately they only have enough to eat, and do not have to borrow food. But when he heard that the State is mobilizing people to support the prevention and fight against the Covid-19 epidemic, Mr. Danh did not hesitate to decide to donate 5 kg of rice.
Mr. Danh shared: “At this time, everyone is facing difficulties. In the fight against the Covid-19 epidemic, the State budget has been greatly depleted when having to feed tens of thousands of people in centralized quarantine. We are not rich, but for now, we have enough to eat, so we have to share the burden and difficulties with the State…”.

Not only Mr. Danh's family but also most of the people in Huu Lap commune are willing to support money, rice and necessities for the quarantine areas. Currently, the Commune Farmers' Association has mobilized in Na, Xop Nhi, Xop Thap and Xop Thang villages.
“In the mountainous areas, it is currently the time of crop failure, life is difficult but Huu Lap people have enthusiastically responded to the State's call. Households contribute at least 1-2 kg of rice, normally 3-4 kg and 50-100 thousand VND. Up to now, people have supported doctors and nurses on duty and those in centralized quarantine in Huu Kiem commune with nearly 500 kg of rice and nearly 1 million VND" - Ms. La Hong Anh - Chairman of the Commune Farmers' Association said.
Nam Dan District has a quarantine area of the Provincial Military Command with a large number of quarantined people, requiring a large amount of daily necessities, especially green food. Understanding the difficulties of those serving in the quarantine area, women from Uncle Ho's hometown have mobilized people to contribute vegetables, gourds, squash, green bananas, etc. to support.

Being a delta region with fertile land, vegetables, tubers and fruits in the garden are always fresh, which is also a regular source of income for farmers in Nam Dan. However, on this occasion, families all intend to save to support the State, serving the work of disease prevention and control.
Donate gourds, bananas, and dried fish to support the quarantine area
Ms. Bui Thi Hanh (Hong Long commune) said: “In the backyard of my house, there are a few gourds and bunches of bananas. Normally, I can sell them for a few hundred thousand dong. But I heard that the quarantine area is in need of necessities, so I kept them to support them, because after all, I am a citizen of my homeland and country.”
Ms. Nguyen Thi Lien (Xuan Hoa commune) had more than a dozen chicken eggs to sell, but when she heard about the campaign, she did not hesitate to support. Because, like many others, Ms. Lien shared the same thought that if everyone contributed a little, the epidemic would soon be pushed back, so that life could quickly return to normal.

According to Ms. Le Thi Huong - Vice President of the Women's Union of Nam Dan district, in recent days, women and people in the whole district have joined the movement to support food and foodstuffs, joining hands to fight Covid-19. Most families have participated in donating money, rice, vegetables, fruits and foods such as eggs, meat, milk, etc.
Women in some communes also cook nutritious porridge to help the medical staff, doctors, officers and soldiers on duty in the quarantine area have more vitality and strength to quickly defeat Covid-19. Currently, the food source provided by the people is very abundant, to ensure freshness and deliciousness, the communes have divided the food into support batches, because the "war" may still last.
Going down to the coastal area, stopping by Nghi Xuan commune (Nghi Loc), we continued to witness the hearts of the people in the "war" to prevent and fight the epidemic. Ms. Nguyen Thi Hoa in hamlet 4 brought instant noodles to the hamlet's cultural house to support, she said: "Near Nghi Loc district, there is a quarantine point in Nghi An commune, I heard that there are a lot of people quarantined there, the demand for food and provisions is very high. There are not many, only 2 boxes of instant noodles to support, hoping to contribute a small part to repel the dangerous epidemic".
Like people everywhere in the province, people in Nghi Xuan commune in particular and Nghi Loc district in general are willing to support products such as rice, peanuts, dried fish, fish sauce, etc. to send to the quarantine area.
"Hope to contribute a small part in defeating the epidemic"
In the midst of the battle against the Covid-19 pandemic, we always see the appearance of soldiers in green volunteer shirts. They are union members, youth, young people full of vitality and enthusiasm, ready to contribute their strength to society to repel the epidemic, keeping their homeland peaceful. They go to each house to help with health declarations, tutor children in their studies, sew and distribute free masks, receive and help process food in quarantine areas.

Every day, dozens of union members and young people come to cook for the officers and soldiers on duty at the concentrated quarantine area in Thach Giam town (Tuong Duong). Each meal has nearly 300 meals, a large number compared to the number of people on duty here. Understanding the hardships and difficulties, the Youth Unions of the communes in the area have taken turns to help, thanks to which the work has always been "smooth sailing".
As a 12th grade student, Tran Thi Thao My in Thach Giam town, who is on a break from school to prevent and fight the epidemic, asked her parents and the Youth Union officials for permission to help prepare food for the aunts and uncles on duty at the quarantine area. Thao My shared: “The work is not hard, but it is quite tiring because I have to work all the time. But that does not discourage me. In the coming days, I will continue to work, hoping to contribute a small part in defeating the dangerous epidemic.”
Perhaps, Thao My is not an isolated case, but in this land of Nghe An full of love, there are many young people silently dedicating their strength, enthusiasm and sense of responsibility so that their homeland can soon return to peace.
Along the roads, we also heard and witnessed stories about the affection and heart of the people in the fight against the Covid-19 epidemic. Like the story of Mr. Nguyen Trong Son in Hamlet 5, Hanh Lam Commune (Thanh Chuong), despite his disabled leg and having to move with crutches, he still went to the Covid-19 epidemic control checkpoint to support those on duty there.

Or the story of a poor mother bringing a bag of money to support, which touched many people. Because the bag of money contained many bills with different denominations, mainly 1,000 VND, 2,000 VND and 5,000 VND, proving that this money was saved and cherished by the mother for many years. Then the children used their New Year's lucky money to support the fight against the epidemic; a severely wounded soldier with one leg wrote a letter, asking to support his allowance to the ward in Cua Lo town to fight the epidemic...
The people's deeds, gestures and hearts have given us faith and strength, adding motivation for our homeland and country to overcome this difficult period.
