Remembering the friend who often confided in her sister about her miserable marriage because her husband's family rejected her and she had to return to her parents' house, Vuong took the initiative to meet Luong Thi B. (born in 1997). During this conversation, Ms. B. suggested that she pay her family 50 million VND to leave.marry ChineseThinking that the price was high, Vuong did not agree and went home.

About 5 days later, B. proactively sought out Vuong and asked him to take her to China. There, the two parties agreed on a price of 40 million VND. Ms. B. was then taken to China by 2 women to be sold as a wife to a local man.
Two weeks later, Van gave Vuong 40 million VND. Following Van's instructions, Vuong gave B's family 30 million VND, gave Van's friend 5 million VND, and Vuong benefited from 5 million VND.
In early 2014, Vuong came to B.'s family to borrow 13 million VND to raise cows. In 2018, Luong Thi B. returned to Vietnam. At this time, B. asked about the 13 million VND loan, but because all the cows had died, Vuong was unable to repay the debt. Therefore, in 2020, B. filed a complaint with the police about Vuong's actions.
At court, the defendant confessed his crime and asked for a lighter sentence. The victim asked for a lighter sentence for the defendant.
The court determined that the defendant's actions violated the law, but in this case the victim was also partly at fault, so it sentenced Luong Van Vuong to 4 years in prison for human trafficking.
As for the woman named Van, because she was not present in the locality, the investigation agency did not have enough grounds to handle the case.
