Singapore's crucial political test

According to the results announced by the Election Commission of Singapore (ELD) on May 4, the People's Action Party (PAP) won an overwhelming victory in the general election the day before, thereby continuing to maintain its position as the ruling party in Singapore for more than 6 decades. This is the first election victory of Prime Minister Lawrence Wong as head of government and Secretary-General of the PAP, marking the official beginning of a new generation of leaders in the Lion Island.
