Nghe An Provincial Leaders Congratulate Vinh Diocese on Easter

At the Vinh Diocese Bishop's Palace, Nghi Dien Commune, Nghi Loc District, on behalf of the provincial delegation, Comrade Le Hong Vinh - Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee presented a congratulatory flower basket and sent to Bishop Alphong Nguyen Huu Long and other bishops, priests and all parishioners in Vinh Diocese wishes for peace, health and happiness on the occasion of Easter.

The Standing Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee also informed Bishop Alphonse Nguyen Huu Long and other bishops and priests about the preliminary socio-economic situation of the province. Since the beginning of the year, the province has directed to accelerate production and business progress and implement projects to promote development in all aspects of life.

Although life is still difficult, the leaders and people of the whole province have made efforts to overcome challenges, initially achieving positive results, increasing competitiveness and attracting investment capital. The industrial production development index is estimated to increase by 8.07% over the same period; some products have increased quite a bit compared to the same period in 2023 such as: construction stone mining, sugar, milk of all kinds, clothing products of all kinds, etc.

Attracting investment and developing enterprises as of March 20, 2024, the total newly granted and adjusted capital is 14,626.3 billion VND. In the first quarter, 602 new enterprises were established with a total registered capital of 6,175.7 billion VND; an increase of 127.04% over the same period. State budget revenue is estimated at 5,904 billion VND, reaching 37.1% of the estimate. Local budget expenditure is estimated at 6,576 billion VND, reaching 18.2% of the estimate.

To achieve the remarkable achievements of the province in recent times, in addition to the efforts of the political system, the Provincial People's Committee highly appreciates the role of Bishops, priests and monks in the whole province who have taken many measures to encourage followers to participate in socio-economic and cultural development, especially participating in movements launched by the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee, organizations and all levels...

On this occasion, Mr. Le Hong Vinh, Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, expressed his hope that the Vinh Diocese would continue to coordinate, share and accompany authorities at all levels in the process of socio-economic development.

On behalf of the Vinh Diocese, Bishop Alphonsus Nguyen Huu Long expressed his gratitude and respect for the attention of the leaders of Nghe An province on the occasion of Easter 2024. At the same time, he acknowledged the efforts of the leaders and people of Nghe An in the process of economic recovery as well as the results achieved in socio-economic development in recent times.

Bishop Alphonsus Nguyen Huu Long also thanked the leaders of Nghe An province for their attention to resolving the religious needs of the parishioners, bringing joy to the entire community of God's people, thereby affirming the good relationship between the authorities at all levels and the Bishop's Office.
