Provincial leaders visit and give gifts on the occasion of Lunar New Year

*Comrade Ho Le Ngoc - Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Internal Affairs Committee has just presented112 million VND to support house construction for 2 households in especially difficult circumstances in Yen Hop and Lien Hop communes, Quy Hop district.

The Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Internal Affairs Department visited, encouraged and presented 62 million VND, including 50 million VND in house building support, a savings book of 10 million VND and 2 million VND to buy school supplies for the family of Mrs. La Thi Dung, who has cancer and is raising 3 orphaned grandchildren in Bo village, Yen Hop commune. At the same time, 50 million VND (authorized by the Fatherland Front of Quy Hop district) was presented to build a solidarity house for 3 orphaned brothers, Vi Van Linh, Vi Van Ky and Vi Van Dat in Quan village, Lien Hop commune.

This support amount was mobilized by the Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Internal Affairs Committee, calling for support from benefactors. With that support, poor households will have more resources to build new, spacious houses and soon stabilize their lives.

Accompanying the delegation were representatives of the provincial Military Command, provincial Police, Department of Labor - Invalids and Social Affairs, and provincial Ethnic Committee.

Chau Thuan is a remote commune of the mountainous district of Quy Chau. The commune has 3,418 people with 782 households living in 4 villages, 98% of whom are Thai ethnic group. People's lives are mainly agricultural production, still facing many difficulties.

On behalf of the provincial leaders, comrade Hoang Viet Duong sent New Year greetings to the people of Chau Thuan commune. He emphasized that in recent years, the province has always paid attention to the lives of policy families, families facing many difficulties, especially ethnic minorities. He hoped that the families would overcome difficulties, constantly strive to rise up, and build a prosperous and happy life.

On this occasion, the Provincial People's Council also presented 40 gifts, each worth 500,000 VND, to policy families in Chau Thang commune, Quy Chau district.

To contribute to bringing a warm Tet to female members, the Women's Union of Nghe An province has called on businesses, individuals, and benefactors to donate money and goods to give to the border communes of Nghe An province.

In Hanh Dich commune alone, the Women's Union has been giving Tet gifts for 3 years now. And this time, the Union supported 2 poor families, each with 40 million VND to rebuild their houses; and gave 30 gifts with a total value of 45 million VND.

In addition, the Association also cooperates with the Provincial Border Guard Medical Team to examine and provide free medicine to poor households.

In phase 2 from 2021 to 2025, the Provincial Women's Union will continue to coordinate with Tri Le and Thong Thu border posts to help poor women members develop their livelihoods and participate in the work of protecting border security and sovereignty. On this occasion, the Union also presented 60 gifts and 180 bottles of Coca-Cola to women in especially difficult circumstances in Tri Le and Thong Thu communes.
