Previously, at 6:00 p.m. on August 11, a fire broke out at the house of Mr. Lo Van Tuat in Quan village, Binh Chuan commune. At that time, Mr. Tuat's family was away, so when the fire spread, it could not be extinguished in time. The stilt house was mainly made of wood, bamboo, and thatched roof, so when the fire broke out, the fire flared up even more fiercely, burning down all the items in the house.
All efforts to repair the damage were unsuccessful. Investigation revealed the cause of the fire was an electrical short circuit. Total damage was estimated at nearly 300 million VND.
Currently, the local government and the village have also provided temporary accommodation and 3 million VND for Mr. Tuat's family to cover their immediate daily living expenses.
