Provincial Labor Federation visits and presents gifts to workers injured in work accidents
(Baonghean.vn) - On the afternoon of May 18, the Provincial Federation of Labor visited and presented gifts to two workers who were injured in work accidents. This is one of the activities of the Provincial Federation of Labor in response to the 2021 Labor Safety and Hygiene Month.
The two workers visited were Ms. Nguyen Thu Huong (1966) and Mr. Nguyen Tien Manh (1984), members of the Industry and Trade Union. Both wereindustrial accidentWhile working in factories, the rate of injury is high and life is difficult.

Specifically, in 2003, Ms. Nguyen Thi Huong was hit by a bag of rice while working at the rice warehouse of Nghe An Import-Export Joint Stock Company. The accident damaged her spinal cord, causing hemiplegia, a disability rate of 90%, and complete loss of ability to walk.laborwhile the two children were still very young.
Nguyen Tien Manh had an accident in 2013 while inspecting a chopper. He was a capable engineer at Thanh Thanh Dat Company Limited. The accident caused him to have 2/3 of his left arm and part of his right hand amputated. With a disability rate of 75%, Manh's life became even more difficult as he was the main breadwinner in the family and his mother was often sick.

Sharing the situation of Ms. Huong and Mr. Manh, Vice President of the Provincial Labor Federation Nguyen Thi Thu Nhi gave each person a gift worth 1 million VND.

During this year's Occupational Safety and Health Month, the Provincial Federation of Labor visited and presented gifts to 44 cases belonging to 7 grassroots trade union units with a total support amount of 27.3 million VND./.
