She was one of the 6 athletes who had just won a gold medal in the Youth Kickboxing event in the 60 kg weight category for the age group of 14-16.
In the martial arts class at the Provincial Sports Training Center, we saw the excitement on the faces of teachers and students. The youth Kickboxing tournament that Huyen just went through was an extremely successful tournament for Huyen. To reach the finals, Huyen had to overcome strong opponents one after another. Although the opponents were considered "superior", but with a strong will and a steady competitive mentality, Huyen "knocked out" all of her opponents.
When asked about his most memorable match, he shared: The most memorable match was the recent youth Kickboxing tournament semi-final. Because this was the match that drained all of my energy. In that match, I played at my best level ever, but my opponent was also very strong. The two sides played tit for tat, fighting for each point, and it wasn't until the last seconds that I realized I had won. That semi-final match was also the pivotal match that created a comfortable mentality for me to enter the final match to compete for the gold medal.
It seemed that after overcoming a tough opponent in the semi-final, I no longer had any fear when entering the most important match of the tournament. I scored points against my opponent one after another and brought home an overwhelming victory in the final match.
