"The Unified Command of Forces (OOC) of Ukraine continues to build up a group of troops near the line of combat contact. According to our intelligence, in the residential area of Novozvanivka, which is under the control of the 54th Brigade (of the Armed Forces of Ukraine), the presence of Strela-10 air defense systems with a large number of ammunition is still confirmed in the area of the 54th Brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine," - the communications officer of the press service, Ivan Filiponenko, said at a press conference.
According to data from the LNR People's Police, the commander of the 54th Brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, wanting to hide the presence of prohibited weapons equipment near the military contact line, ordered to prevent drone flights of observers of the Special Monitoring Mission (SMM) of the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE) in the region.
This information was confirmed by the Mission's staff, who reported various shelling by the Armed Forces of Ukraine against OSCE drones monitoring the situation in the area under the 54th brigade's responsibility, Mr. Mitch Filiponenko said.
At the end of September 2015, the sides signed an agreement to withdraw weapons, artillery of more than 100 mm caliber and tanks from the front line.
