The Hongqi L5 is a huge car, measuring 5.55 m in length (similar to the Rolls-Royce Phantom), more than 2 m wide and 1.5 m high, with a wheelbase of 3.4 m. The total weight is up to 3,150 kg in the civilian version, the armored version is much heavier.
The car uses a V12 engine, 6.0 liter capacity, 408 horsepower and 550 Nm torque, combined with a 6-speed automatic transmission.
In addition, at some times, the Chinese president also uses other luxury cars such as the Mercedes S600 Pullman Guard like the Russian president or the BMW 7 Series during local visits.
