Job scam, embezzlement of more than 700 million VND

On the morning of October 9, a source from the Thua Thien-Hue Provincial Police said that the Criminal Police force of the Provincial Police had just urgently arrested Phan Thi Thuy Trang (36 years old, residing on Mai Thuc Loan Street, Hue City) for fraud and property appropriation.

Initial information from the police agency, by claiming to be able to apply for jobs at many schools in Hue city and Hue Central Hospital, since the beginning of 2014, Phan Thi Thuy Trang has deceived 4 cases in need of applying for jobs. Depending on the job requirements of each person, Trang offered prices from 80 million to more than 100 million VND for these cases to contribute money. However, in reality, Trang was not capable of applying for jobs for them.

After waiting for a long time without seeing any job arrangements, many people realized they had been scammed and reported to the police. Trang was then arrested urgently.

At the police station, Trang initially confessed that with the above-mentioned job scam, she had appropriated over 700 million VND in assets. The police are currently continuing to expand the investigation into the case.
