(Baonghean.vn) - On the morning of December 13, the Nghe An Provincial Military Party Committee held a Conference to issue a Resolution on leadership in implementing tasks in 2018, and review self-criticism and criticism in 2017.

In 2017, the Provincial Military Party Committee successfully completed military, national defense and Party building tasks; well implemented the content of one focus, two breakthroughs set forth in the 2017 Resolution.

Among them, many tasks were completed excellently compared to 2016 such as: The quality of advisory work for Party committees and authorities was improved; Grasping and handling hot spots and incidents occurring in the area in a timely manner; Preparing and organizing well the provincial defense area drills; Training tasks, combat readiness; mass mobilization work in religious areas, helping people overcome the consequences of storms and floods...

Regarding the direction and goals for 2018, the Party Committee of the Provincial Military Command will continue to effectively implement Resolution 4 of the 12th Central Committee (term XII) in conjunction with the implementation of Directive 05 of the Politburo; Focus on implementing two breakthroughs, which are promoting the building of discipline and discipline enforcement; Improve the leadership capacity and fighting strength of grassroots Party organizations and the exemplary pioneering role of leading cadres at all levels.

Speaking at the conference, Lieutenant General Nguyen Tan Cuong praised the results and tasks of the Nghe An Provincial Military Party Committee in 2017. He emphasized that, besides basic advantages, Military Region 4 and Nghe An province still face many potential difficulties and challenges.

In 2018, Lieutenant General Nguyen Tan Cuong requested the Provincial Military Party Committee to concretize the Party's resolutions; strictly grasp the spirit of criticism and self-criticism; strengthen the management of Party members; promptly resolve issues and signs of internal disunity right at the Party grassroots.

He emphasized the spirit of being proactive in all situations, not being passive and surprised, not allowing hot spots to occur; proactively advising the Party Committee and the government in building defense zones; directing drills close to the set plan to successfully carry out military and defense tasks, build a strong national defense, and a solid defense zone.

Concluding the conference, comrade Nguyen Dac Vinh, on behalf of the Provincial Military Party Committee, thanked the leadership and direction of Military Region 4 in performing the local defense tasks; at the same time, highly appreciated the military and defense work of the armed forces of Nghe An province.

He emphasized that the Provincial Military Command and the provincial armed forces are a great support and core force of the Military Region and the nation in both war and peacetime. To do so, each officer and soldier must be more serious and responsible in their work. The military force needs to maintain high combat capability to handle any unexpected situations that may arise, especially in the context of the world situation becoming increasingly rapid and unpredictable and in the province, hostile forces are increasingly increasing their sabotage activities.

"Only then can we build a comprehensively strong defense zone, a cluster of defense zones that are highly combat-ready. Deserving to be the most elite and trustworthy armed force of the Party, State and people" - Comrade Nguyen Dac Vinh emphasized.
