Yen Thanh successfully completed the district defense area exercise in 2024.
After 2.5 days and nights of practice (from August 27 to August 29, 2024), the Yen Thanh district defense area exercise with the theme: "Moving armed forces into combat readiness states, moving localities into defense states; organizing preparations and practicing combat, firmly protecting the district defense area" was assessed by the Provincial Exercise Steering Committee as having excellently completed the task.
With the efforts of the Party Committee and the government, promoting the role of the entire political system in preparing and organizing the exercise, the Yen Thanh district defense area exercise in 2024 was highly appreciated by the Provincial Exercise Steering Committee, all exercise contents were completed well, many contents completed the task excellently. The unit was absolutely safe in terms of people and weapons and equipment.

Speaking at the closing ceremony of the exercise, Colonel Nguyen Ky Hong - Political Commissar of the Provincial Military Command, Member of the Provincial Exercise Steering Committee emphasized: Through the Yen Thanh district defense area exercise, it can be affirmed that the awareness of the Party Committee and the government on national defense and security tasks has been raised and experiences have been drawn from both theory and practice in building the district defense area, as well as serving the task of socio-economic development associated with ensuring national defense and security in the current situation.

The results of the exercise are the basis for continuing to build, consolidate and strengthen the potentials and positions in the district and provincial defense areas; build armed forces, mobilize the strength of the entire people; at the same time, build and supplement combat plans and technical infrastructure to be ready to respond to situations that arise. In addition, the Political Commissar of the Provincial Military Command also requested the Yen Thanh District Exercise Organizing Committee to seriously evaluate and draw lessons after completing the exercise tasks, thereby improving the quality of training, combat readiness, exercises as well as the quality of military and defense work; the work of organizing coordination and cooperation between forces in performing defense and security tasks in the locality. Organize the collection of weapons, ammunition, and explosives used on training grounds and training grounds; preserve and maintain weapons, equipment, vehicles and manage exercise documents in accordance with regulations. Continue to thoroughly grasp and seriously implement Resolutions and Directives on national defense and security tasks in the new situation. Regularly closely monitor and grasp the area, create solid stability right at the grassroots level, do not be subjective, negligent, lose vigilance, do not be passive or surprised in any situation.
