Bringing 'Moon of Love' to nearly 1,000 poor children in Con Cuong district
(Baonghean.vn) - The Provincial Party Committee's Internal Affairs Committee coordinated with the Nghe An and Con Cuong District Joint Press Clubs, along with units, businesses, and philanthropists to organize the early Mid-Autumn Festival program "Moon of Love" for nearly 1,000 Thai ethnic children in Cam Lam commune, Con Cuong district.
This is the 10th year of the Mid-Autumn Festival program "Moon of Love" for ethnic minority children in mountainous and difficult border areas in Nghe An province.

Cam Lam is a remote and difficult commune; more than 20km from the center of Con Cuong district. This is where 99% of the Thai ethnic people live. 5 villages of Cam Lam commune are isolated from the outside by the Lam river with only a suspension bridge crossing, and the roads to the villages are mainly hilly dirt roads that are difficult to travel.
The people's economy still depends mainly on agriculture and forestry, so the rate of poor and near-poor households is still over 71%. The students here still lack many things when going to school such as learning equipment, warm clothes, especially cultural pursuits.

Within the framework of the program, the medical team of Vinh International Hospital examined and provided free medicine to all children in Cam Lam commune.

On this occasion, TH Group donated 50 bicycles and 100 cartons of milk worth 130 million VND. The program also awarded 280 scholarships to students at three levels in the area, each worth 500,000 VND; and 620 Mid-Autumn Festival gifts to children in Cam Lam commune, each worth 200,000 VND. In particular, 2 poor households in the commune received charity houses on this occasion. The total value of the entire program is about 600 million VND.
