'The baby cried and shouted: Help me, everyone, I was beaten so much! The baby's eyes looked pitiful as he pleaded with people around him,' a witness recounted.

Today, April 18, on the personal Facebook page of member HTHai, a series of photos were posted of a 4-5 year old child being beaten by a man, leaving her face bruised and swollen, while the woman accompanying her, believed to be the girl’s mother, remained indifferent and did not react. The incident took place right in the middle of Tan Son Nhat airport, attracting the attention of many people.

According to Mr. Hai, a witness to the incident, on the afternoon of April 17, he and his family took a flight back to Ho Chi Minh City. While waiting to get their luggage, they encountered the above scene.

Mr. Hai said: "Seeing the man kicking the girl repeatedly, I was angry and suspicious. Not only that, he also dragged her along the floor. The girl cried and shouted: 'Help me, everyone, I've been beaten so much!', her eyes begging for help from the people around her were very pitiful. Seeing that, I immediately reported it to the airport security force, so they could clarify the incident."

A day after the incident, Mr. Hai received information that the case had been handled by the police of Ward 2, Tan Binh District, Ho Chi Minh City. Photos of the identification documents showed that the woman accompanying the girl was the biological mother of the girl. The authorities did not disclose the reason for the child's abuse and the relationship between the man and the girl.

"The authorities will send a notice to the child's grandparents to take measures to monitor and protect them. The person who assaulted the child has been invited to work and punished," Mr. Hai added.
