Expanding investigation into case of journalist receiving money from business to 'remove article'

Regarding the case of Ms. Pham Le Hoang Uyen of Career Guidance and Integration Magazine receiving 280 million VND from 2 businesses, being arrested in Can Tho City, the Security Agency (ANĐT) of Can Tho City Police is continuing to expand the investigation to clarify whether or not there are accomplices in the case at a number of press agencies in Ho Chi Minh City to strengthen the case file.
According to the above source, the working group of the Investigation Security Agency of Can Tho City Police has come to Ho Chi Minh City to verify the information and related people that Ms. Uyen declared during her criminal detention. Ms. Uyen is currently being detained at the Can Tho City Police Detention Center.
The police have not yet officially informed about the prosecution of the case, the prosecution of the accused and the charges against Ms. Uyen because the period of criminal detention according to regulations is still valid (Uyen was caught red-handed on the evening of August 6).
Previously, at 8:00 p.m. on August 6, at Hoa Cau coffee shop (corner of Hai Ba Trung and Ngo Gia Tu streets, Tan An ward, Ninh Kieu district), Can Tho City Police caught Ms. Pham Le Hoang Uyen, Head of the southern representative office of Career Guidance and Integration Magazine, receiving 280 million VND from 2 businesses headquartered in Chau Thanh district (Hau Giang) with the promise to resolve the "removal" of 3 articles posted on the online page of Ho Chi Minh City Women's Newspaper related to these 2 businesses.
