A student died from choking on fried fish balls.
On October 12, Children's Hospital 1, Ho Chi Minh City announced that there was a case of a third grade student, DTMP (8 years old), who died before being admitted to the hospital due to choking on fried fish balls.
According to Children's Hospital 1, the family said that before that, the child had no fever or cough. After school in the afternoon, he came home and ate fried fish balls (bought outside). While eating, he choked and threw up the fried fish balls and fluid.
The family took the child to District 10 Hospital for emergency treatment in a state of cardiac and respiratory arrest. After resuscitation and intubation, the child was transferred to Children's Hospital 1 at 5:00 p.m. on October 10.

Here, the patient was diagnosed with acute pulmonary edema, high blood pressure, and cerebral hemorrhage. After emergency treatment, the patient was transferred to intensive care but could not be saved.
The final diagnosis was cardiac arrest, respiratory arrest, acute pulmonary edema before admission, cerebral hypoxia, and foreign body in the airway./.
