(Baonghean.vn) – On May 5, the Central Interdisciplinary Inspection Team on food safety conducted a field inspection at Big C Vinh supermarket and Hau Trang ham production facility (No. 14, Bui Duong Lich Street, Quan Bau Ward, Vinh City).

Through inspection at Hau Trang ham and sausage production facility, the Central Interdisciplinary Inspection Team discovered that the facility's owner, Mr. Nguyen Nhu Hau, lacked a health certificate, updated slaughter and veterinary inspection certificates for shipments, and lacked food safety knowledge certificates for the three people directly involved in production.

In addition, the general food safety conditions of the facility did not meet requirements; the facility lacked storage samples, the refrigeration equipment did not have temperature control, there was no information related to the processed products... The delegation requested that this facility temporarily stop production; within 10 days, the above errors must be corrected.

During the inspection at Big C Vinh Supermarket, the interdisciplinary inspection team discovered a number of errors such as: The bread and cake processing and baking area did not have ceilings as prescribed. Some foods produced and packaged by Big C did not clearly state the production date, expiry date, qualitative and quantitative information; Some types of food were not stored at the appropriate temperature. The team requested the Supermarket to focus on quickly correcting the above errors within 3 days.
The Central Interdisciplinary Inspection Team also assigned the Interdisciplinary Steering Committee on Food Safety of Nghe An province to guide and inspect the correction of violations at these two establishments./.
