Some food items at Big C Vinh supermarket are not stored properly.
(Baonghean.vn) – On May 5th, the Central Inter-agency Inspection Team on Food Safety conducted an on-site inspection at Big C Vinh supermarket and Hau Trang sausage production facility (No. 14, Bui Duong Lich Street, Quan Bau Ward, Vinh City).

During an inspection at the Hau Trang sausage and ham production facility, the Central inter-agency inspection team discovered that the owner, Mr. Nguyen Nhu Hau, lacked health certificates, had not updated slaughter inspection and veterinary inspection certificates for the batches of goods, and lacked food safety knowledge certificates for the three people directly involved in production.

In addition, the facility's general food safety conditions were unsatisfactory; the facility lacked sample retention, the refrigeration equipment had no temperature control, and there was no information related to the processed products… The inspection team requested that the facility temporarily cease production and rectify the aforementioned violations within 10 days.

During an inspection at Big C Vinh supermarket, the inter-agency inspection team discovered several violations, including: the bread and pastry processing and baking area lacked a ceiling as required by regulations; some food products manufactured and packaged by Big C did not clearly state the production date, expiration date, qualitative and quantitative information; and some food items were not stored at the appropriate temperature. The team requested the supermarket to promptly rectify these violations within 3 days.
The inter-agency inspection team from the Central Government also assigned the Inter-agency Steering Committee on Food Safety of Nghe An province to guide and inspect the rectification of violations at these two establishments.
