Borrowing the name of selling lottery to gamble by recording lottery numbers

On the morning of February 1, the Nghi Loc District Police Department announced that it had just dismantled a gambling ring using lottery betting, arrested 13 subjects, and seized VND331,793 million and many related exhibits.

Recently, Nghi Xa commune people have been upset about the lottery situation happening in the area. The lottery owner is Ho Thi Hoa My in hamlet 2. Public opinion believes that My is a lottery agent but in fact is the leader of a gambling ring in the form of recording lottery tickets for many people inside and outside the commune. Faced with that situation, Nghi Loc district police established Project 103B to fight.

After a period of ambush, at 5:45 p.m. on January 28, the task force caught Ho Thi Hoa My red-handed while she was betting on lottery tickets. During an urgent search of the subject, the task force seized 3 lottery cables, 6 lottery boards, 6 phones, and 20 million VND.

Through the fight with Ho Thi Hoa My, the investigation agency arrested 12 other subjects in Nghi Loc district. During the fight, the investigation agency seized and clarified the total amount of gambling money in the line was 331,793 million VND.

Currently, the Nghi Loc Police Investigation Agency has initiated a case and prosecuted 4 suspects including: Ho Thi Hoa My (born in 1993), residing in Hamlet 2, Nghi Xa Commune; Nguyen Tien Dung (born in 1980), residing in Hamlet 14, Nghi Long Commune; Tran Xuan Hoang (born in 1980), residing in Hamlet 2, Nghi Xa Commune and Le Duc Tho (born in 1992), residing in Hamlet 10, Nghi Thinh Commune for gambling.

Because Ho Thi Hoa My has a young child, Tran Xuan Hoang and Nguyen Tien Dung committed less serious crimes and were released on bail, they were banned from leaving their place of residence.

Le Duc Tho participated in gambling with a large sum of VND 253.4 million and was preparing documents for labor export, so the investigation agency ordered his temporary detention. The remaining 9 subjects are being verified and handled by the investigation team according to regulations.
