US identifies 6 Russian officials interfering in 2016 presidential election
According to Reuters, on November 2, the Wall Street Journal quoted informed sources as saying that the US Department of Justice had gathered sufficient evidence to charge six members of the Russian government in the attack on the computers of the Democratic National Committee (DNC) before the 2016 US presidential election.

Federal agents and prosecutors in Washington, Philadelphia, Pittsburgh and San Francisco have been cooperating in the investigation into the DNC hack, and prosecutors could bring the case to court next year, the newspaper reported.
By accusing individuals of being Russian military and intelligence hackers, the US will restrict their travel, but it is unlikely that they will be arrested and imprisoned.
In March, the US Justice Department charged two Russian intelligence agents and two Russian hackers with masterminding the theft of 500 million Yahoo accounts in 2014.
