On the morning of December 19, Nam Dan district held the opening ceremony of the 6th session of the 21st term of the district People's Council, term 2021-2026. In 2022, Nam Dan district's economy will continue to grow well with an estimated production value growth rate of 9.71%, exceeding the plan of 8.5-9.5%. Average income per capita is estimated at 62 million VND/person/year, reaching 100% of the plan, an increase of 5 million/person/year compared to 2021. The economic structure has shifted in the right direction, reducing the proportion of the agriculture, forestry and fishery sector from 34.66% in 2021 to 33.34% in 2022, increasing the proportion of the industry and construction sector from 32.02% in 2021 to 33.29% in 2022. Total budget revenue is estimated at 332.54 billion VND, reaching 167% of the provincial estimate, reaching 92% of the district's estimate, down 18% over the same period in 2021. Total budget expenditure is estimated at 1,076.31 billion VND, reaching 126% of the estimate, up 5% over the same period in 2021.

The movement to build advanced new rural areas, model new rural areas, and civilized urban areas continues to be promoted. By the end of 2022, 4 more communes will meet advanced new rural standards (Nam Thanh, Nam Xuan, Xuan Lam, Nam Kim), reaching 100% of the plan, bringing the total number of communes meeting advanced new rural standards to 9, accounting for 50%; 4 more communes will meet model new rural standards (Nam Nghia, Nam Giang, Nam Cat, and Nam Anh), bringing the total number of communes meeting model new rural standards to 5, accounting for 27.78%.
