(Baonghean.vn) - Today (September 5), along with the whole country, schools in Nghe An province opened the new school year 2022 - 2023. This is a school year with many important tasks set out to both successfully implement the new General Education Program and improve the quality of comprehensive education...

Passionate about working together for students

The new school year has come early for more than 1,700 teachers and students of Ky Son High School because after many days of waiting, a spacious and modern school has been officially completed and put into use before the opening day. The entire project with 245 rooms, including 45 classrooms, 25 functional rooms, 126 dormitories for students and 45 dormitories for teachers, serving 2,000 students is a gift from Trungnam Group to the school.

The construction of the school with the desire that “no one should be left behind” also demonstrates the Party and State’s concern for education in disadvantaged areas and for children of ethnic minorities. Above all, behind this meaningful project is the hope that schools in disadvantaged areas must strive to develop step by step, and students in remote areas must study hard to move towards the future, escape poverty and backwardness.

From today, teachers and students of Ky Son High School can study and live with peace of mind, without worrying about food and accommodation. From today, the school is also determined to build a national standard school in the near future, innovate and improve the quality of teaching and learning, gradually bringing Ky Son education closer to the education of the whole province.

Before the new school year, many meaningful projects in the province have been constructed and promptly inaugurated so that teachers and students of schools have adequate conditions for teaching and learning, gradually eliminating temporary, degraded classrooms and old, dilapidated thatched houses.

At Dong Tien school - Lang Khe Primary School (Con Cuong), after 3 months of construction, the construction of a separate school with 6 classrooms, a headmaster building, headmaster buildings, school grounds... donated by Delta Construction Group has been inaugurated and put into use. The spacious classrooms "school after school, class after class" are also the long-standing dream of teachers, students and local people to replace the damaged classrooms.

Teacher Truong Thi Xuan - Principal of Lang Khe Primary School said: Lang Khe is a remote commune with many difficult conditions. In addition to the main school, we also have 2 satellite schools, 7-8 km away, with difficult travel conditions due to the fragmented terrain. For many years, the satellite schools have been degraded, affecting the organization of teaching and learning at the school and causing disadvantages for students. Now that we have a new school, the school is truly happy and grateful for the attention of the units. We believe that this will be the basis for the school to improve the quality of teaching and learning, confidently enter the new school year, and carry out well the emulation movements of the industry.

Along with preparing facilities, with the hope that no student will have to drop out of school due to lack of books or notebooks, in recent days, thousands of gifts have been sent by organizations and individuals to poor and disadvantaged students across the province. At the same time, many practical and humane programs have been organized to "help students go to school".

That is the program "Sharing love, going to school with you" organized by the Provincial Labor Federation in Nghi Loc district to encourage and support children of workers and laborers in difficult circumstances, creating spiritual motivation for them to overcome difficulties and rise up, before the new school year 2022-2023. Nghe An Education Trade Union came to give gifts to orphaned students in difficult circumstances in Vinh city. Responding to the campaign "Supporting to go to school", Le Viet Thuat High School Trade Union donated 500 notebooks and 50 sets of textbooks to Tuong Duong 1 High School to help poor students have better conditions to enter the new school year.

Nghe An Association for Promotion of Education has also promptly implemented the "Month of Promotion of Education" Program with the desire to call on sponsors, businesses, and successful children of the hometown to join hands in building a scholarship fund to support students in difficult circumstances and children of families with preferential policies to go to school with peace of mind.

As one of the students receiving support from this program, student Le Thi Thuy Hang - class 11C2, Nghi Loc 4 High School shared: My father passed away early when I was 10 years old, so my family's circumstances were difficult, I was a poor household, my mother worked as a worker to raise two children. Because of my special circumstances, during my years of school, I received attention and support from the school and teachers, and that was the motivation for me to try hard to study.

Building a comprehensive educational environment

After nearly 3 years of being affected by the Covid-19 pandemic, the 2022-2023 school year began with joy as students enjoyed the exciting atmosphere of the opening day. In recent days, in preparation for the "National Day of Taking Children to School", schools across the province have been renovated to be more beautiful, ready to welcome students back to school.

In this school year, Nghe An will also begin piloting advanced school models following the trend of international integration, building a new model of boarding schools for ethnic minorities in primary and secondary schools, piloting boarding schools for ethnic minorities in high schools, implementing enhanced educational activities such as strengthening the teaching of foreign languages, information technology, STEM education and life skills and safety education activities for students... This change is also expected to contribute to improving the quality of teaching and learning in schools, promoting the construction of an educational environment and improving the quality of comprehensive education and education in mountainous areas.

This school year is also the third year that the entire education sector has implemented the replacement of textbooks according to the new general education program and the first year of implementation at high school level.

The new program is expected to have difficulties but also brings new expectations to change the way of teaching and learning towards developing students' qualities and abilities. At the same time, it will promote students' creativity to create human resources to meet the requirements of developing the homeland and the country. Photo: My Ha

Thus, the 2022-2023 school year will be a year that requires the entire education sector to make efforts to both maintain the quality of key education and continue to improve the quality of comprehensive education.

To complete the set goals and tasks, Prof. Dr. Thai Van Thanh - Director of the Department of Education and Training said: This school year, the education sector will implement the theme "Solidarity, creativity, striving to successfully complete the tasks and goals of innovation, consolidate and improve the quality of education and training". On that basis, the sector has proposed many solutions, which are to continue to build appropriate educational mechanisms and policies, prioritize the development of education in ethnic minority and mountainous areas, and difficult areas. Continue to develop a team of teachers and educational managers with sufficient qualities, capacity, enthusiasm, responsibility, vision and creativity, ensuring "Discipline - LoveLove - Responsibility".

At the same time, develop development plans for each stage, meeting the requirements of socio-economic development and people's learning needs, ensuring financial resources, facilities and teaching equipment; innovate industry management and school governance, build a comprehensive educational environment and effectively implement educational goals at each level and grade.
