Nam Kim (Nam Dan) receives recognition as a commune meeting national new rural standards

(Baonghean.vn) - On the morning of March 12, Nam Kim commune (Nam Dan) held a ceremony to receive the title of commune meeting national new rural standards.

After more than 5 years of building new rural areas, Nam Kim has invested 241.4 billion VND to complete new rural criteria, of which people contributed nearly 170 billion VND, accounting for 70% of the capital, donating more than 10,000m²land, 6,000m of fence, nearly 20,000 working days to widen roads and build welfare facilities.Up to now, 64% of agricultural land area has reached over 70 million VND/ha/year. From a poor commune, Nam Kim has made a breakthrough with an average growth rate of 5.7% in 5 years, average income per capita reached 33 million VND/person/year, the poverty rate has decreased to 90 households, accounting for 3.88%. Up to now, Nam Kim has achieved 19/19 criteria for building a new rural area.

Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Hoang Nghia Hieu - Director of the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development praised and congratulated Nam Kim for achieving the title of a commune meeting the NTM standards. At the same time, he requested the Party Committee, government and local people to continue to promote the awareness of the entire political system on building a New Rural Area, considering this a key and continuous political task; it is necessary to be determined to maintain, sustain and improve the quality and sustainability of the criteria in the coming time.

On this occasion, the Provincial People's Committee awarded Certificates of Merit to 4 collectives and 4 individuals; Nam Dan District People's Committee awarded Certificates of Merit to 2 collectives and 2 individuals; Nam Kim Commune People's Committee awarded Certificates of Merit to 18 hamlets with outstanding achievements in the local movement of joining hands to build New Rural Areas./.
