| On May 28, Yamaha Vietnam opened the 2017 racing season with the participation of dozens of athletes at the field racetrack in the Southwest Square (Can Tho). This year's race is divided into 6 groups, with each group having a maximum of 36 athletes. |

| Yamaha is divided into three categories: Open, Factory and Free. The types of vehicles used in the competition include Exciter, Sirius, Jupiter and Janus. |

| To build the racetrack, Yamaha placed thousands of sandbags to form the racetrack, the widest part is 12 m and the narrowest part is 7 m. The total length of the racetrack is 390 m, of which the longest straight is 75 m. This is a racetrack that is considered difficult, requiring high technical skills, in addition to the acceleration ability of the car. The organizing committee also installed an IC to automatically score the racers, ensuring fairness according to international standards. |

| In addition to the company racing competition regulated by vehicle model, this year's Yamaha GP also has free racing formats. Contestants are free to choose the vehicle model but the cylinder capacity must not exceed 150 cc (1% error). All vehicles are inspected by technicians before competing. According to Yamaha, the company's racing competition aims to promote the legal racing movement, to select and train professional athletes to compete in international competitions. It is expected that the company will organize four races in Can Tho in May, Da Nang in July, Ho Chi Minh City in September and Binh Duong in November this year. |
