Truong Cong Viet Ha is a student of class 9A1 - Truong Thi Secondary School (Vinh City). Previously, Ha was gifted in Math and was selected to be in the school's gifted student team.

At first, Ha did not really pay attention to IT because he did not decide to pursue this subject. After that, I often found exercises in previous excellent student exams for him to do and did not forget to encourage him if he completed well. Gradually, conquering the exercises motivated Ha to love this subject more and more.

To be able to study Information Technology well, having a good foundation in Mathematics will be very advantageous. For Truong Cong Viet Ha, in addition to having good mathematical thinking, he is also a very diligent and hard-working student.

"Before each class, I would inform about the new lesson topic. While other students were often passive, Ha would take advantage of the time to go online to search for information about this lesson. Therefore, when the main class began, Ha would understand the lesson as I taught it in class. Later, when she had a firm grasp of the lesson and was quite "strong", her self-study awareness was very high. She even did not follow the roadmap that I gave her, but she could find other ways to teach the lesson" - teacher Van Anh recounted.

Another advantage of Viet Ha that made the teacher very confident was that she always did her homework with confidence and could accurately grade herself right after finishing her exam. Therefore, with solid preparation, in grade 9, Ha confidently joined the excellent student team of Truong Thi Secondary School to participate in the city's excellent student competition in Information Technology and excellently won first prize, the valedictorian of the whole city.

Also in grade 9, Ha was selected to be part of the Vinh city team to participate in the Provincial Excellent Student Competition and won third prize. Not satisfied with this result, Ha set a high goal in the entrance exam to Phan Boi Chau High School for the Gifted.

During the exam process, Viet Ha said that she often looked at her classmates and always aimed to get the highest score, she even considered her friends as competitors to strive for.

After completing the entrance exam to Phan Boi Chau High School, Ha scored herself 19.5 points because she only made one very small mistake in the math question. Therefore, when she received the results, she was not surprised, she was very happy because she achieved the title of valedictorian.

The house has 2 valedictorians

Along with the title of valedictorian of the IT major at Phan Boi Chau High School for the Gifted, Truong Cong Viet Ha has just received news that he is co-valedictorian of the IT major at Vinh University High School for the Gifted with a perfect score of 20/20.

For Viet Ha's family, this is not the first time they have received news that their son has been valedictorian. Four years ago, Viet Ha's older brother, Truong Cong Viet Hoang, was also valedictorian in the Biology class at Phan Boi Chau High School for the Gifted. Viet Hoang is currently a student at Hanoi Medical University.

Although her two children are valedictorians, Ms. Hong Thi Nguyet Nga - mother of Ha and Hoang - said that she has never put pressure on her children: "As a primary school teacher at Truong Thi Primary School, since childhood, I only wanted my children to develop naturally, so I have never put pressure on them in their studies. Both children study at Truong Thi Secondary School and the choice of major is up to them, according to their interests and passions."

With the achievement of being the valedictorian of the two top specialized schools in the province, Truong Cong Viet Ha said that he has gradually regained his confidence.
