Kind young man warns about manholes threatening passersby

(Baonghean.vn) - The cover of a manhole on Nguyen Sy Sach Street (Vinh City) is said to be broken, the exposed mouth lies right on the road, posing a danger to road users. A young man volunteered to put up a warning sign to prevent accidents.

On the afternoon of June 11, many people traveling on Nguyen Sy Sach Street from the Orthopedic Hospital to Vinh Station said they felt scared when the cover of a manhole located right on the road near the red light at the intersection with Le Nin Avenue was gone, the exposed mouth of the hole could "swallow" a wheel or a pedestrian.

At around 5:00 p.m. the same day, Mr. Hung (31 years old, residing in Hung Loc commune, Vinh city) accidentally drove through this area and realized that the manhole was potentially dangerous, so he quickly returned home to get a piece of cardboard and a few bricks to put up a warning sign for anyone passing by to avoid the dangerous area.

Some traffic participants, upon learning of this kind man's spontaneous action, sent their thanks.

"I happened to be riding my motorbike here and saw that the manhole was so dangerous. I was afraid it would threaten people's lives so I quickly made this warning sign," said Mr. Hung.
