Young man dies while using homemade gun to shoot birds
The homemade gun was loaded and went off, the bullet hit the young man in the stomach, and he later died.
On the afternoon of August 12, Cao Thanh Huy (19 years old, residing in Truong Xuan ward, Tam Ky city, Quang Nam) and two friends brought a homemade gun that shot lead bullets to the forest in Tam Dan commune, Phu Ninh district to hunt birds.

The gun was loaded and put in the trunk of the car. When the bird was spotted, the group of young men stopped. While Huy was taking out the gun, it was accidentally fired, and the bullet hit him in the stomach.
The victim was taken to the hospital for emergency treatment. However, due to severe injuries, Mr. Huy died.
Recently, Quang Nam provincial authorities have urged people to hand over weapons and explosives and not make homemade guns. The police have confiscated a large number of homemade guns and discovered and handled many cases of buying, selling, and making homemade guns in the area.
